Leveraging Sale Category with Daily Deals Publishers
About Life Is Good:
Life Is Good was looking to liquidate products that were no longer in high demand. The brand inquired if Gen3 could help selling those products within a 30-day window through the affiliate channel.
WHAT WE DISCOVERED
Gen3’s goal was to identify a daily deals site to work with on moving the excess of Life Is Good’s inventory. Based on the previous experience and company’s best practices, we decided to work with Brad’s Deals.
SOLUTIONS
Since daily deals’ sites audience is looking for the best of web bargains, Life Is Good created a landing page specifically for those products - “Tees and Tops Under $20” and gave a vanity code on “Free Shipping on $29 Orders” to Brad’s Deals. The commission rate stayed the same, 6%.
Results
- 7 days (2/11 – 2/18): $14.9k in sales, +251% YoY.
- After we saw success with this placement and repeated it next month and saw strong results again
- 7 days (3/16 – 3/22): $8.6k in sales, +984% YoY.
- The remaining publishers in the program saw a 108% YoY growth during the same time frame.

Conclusion
The right audience of a particular affiliate publisher could be leveraged in favor of an advertiser. Once we identified that Brad’s Deals audience is looking for the best sales and best of web prices, we customized a landing page for them featuring products under $20.
